Underneath Your Shadow
Underneath your shadow
You lie
Green with envy
In the deep depths of outer space
Jealous of the life you could breathe
But you didn't pause to think
Of those moments when you were a kid
Drinking cheap lemonade on the sidewalk
And licking ice cream on a hot day
Now you have a friend
So everything takes two
But one of you guys fell away
Leaving just one light
But if you shed it on a glass pyramid
A rainbow of innocence will fall
The rain was too strong
Now you rest
Six feet underneath
But death won't be dark for you
Your light will hit the pyramid peak
