Underprivileged

1 Corinthians 1:26      New English Translation

26 Think about the circumstances of your call, brothers and sisters. Not many were wise by human standards, not many were powerful, not many were born to a privileged position.

Civilized

Landscape in the desert goes on forever

It seems that all the senses are slowly boiling

Soon it will be night as shadows are growing

The embrace of darkness will magnify the “never”

A land that was given to fulfill all our needs

It seems that we squandered it rather quickly

A few hundred years and now we are sickly

Divided and wandering in the arms of our peers

Some have taken over what was rightly divided

The greed of our nature seems never satisfied

Justifying self-guided by man’s misleading rights

And all the common and helpless are blindsided

Trust in the leaders and be a respecter of political man

Put your heart in the hands of the blind and miss-guided

As many empty promises flow from the dark and beguiled

As the mixture of sin and deceit controls the leaders of the land

Where is the end in sight, if don’t know the beginning?

What is the underlying purpose of black and faded white?

Where now is justice if it steps on under-privileged rights?

Of the hopeless and the helpless in their form of sinning
