Understand

Location

All we want is for you to understand,

that this is more than a place to apprehend.

School is a battlefield, new problems arising everday.

You say "Don't care what others think," and "Get over it, you're a teenager."

but to us, these are serious problems.

We are young, and still learning how to deal with the heartaches of this life.

Many times things happen and we don't understand why,

then you come in and say that none of it matters.

All we want is someone that listens, someone that will help.

Someone who will tell us "It's okay."

But, you don't, and you won't.

All you tell us to do is forget about it, what help is that?

Then all top of all that we are stuck in this insigificant town,

being pressured into making decisions about our future

when we don't even know who we are.

So, before you just write off our problems as "minute"

or "stupid teenager stuff," remember what it like to be a teenager

and realize that we are struggling with the same issues that you are.

Just in a different context, a different situation.
