Understand
You gazed into my eyes
I stared back got frightened then turned away
You asked " what's wrong "
I replied with nothing
Brushed it off as if the memory was already hazy
I told myself that your a mere boy searching for a girl to call yours
Maybe that is why I'm so afraid of you
Because everyone I have ever loved has left
See when you stared into mine
I got soooo nervous
I got so nervous that I couldn't do anything but glance slightly into yours
And that glance was slight heaven
So honey don't drag me into a love so strong I'm driven to hell
I asked God to heal a heart break && he healed it with you
What a miracle
You've chosen to stay over everything
Maybe that is what scares me the most
That you care enough
I'm used to runners baby but you your tough
You've helped me walk miles through forest fires
The past burns me, it burns us
We're so haunted by memories we can't even jog so we turn into flames
Look at you
Your so beautiful
You inspire me to do better
To be better
My fire had came to a slow burn
With you it has now sizzled back to it's full potential
Though you need to understand I will always be " THE GIRL "
The girl with no emotions
The girl who doesn't care
The girl afraid to love because all she ever had left her there
The girl struggling to find herself
The girl struggling to love
I could never escape her so here's a secret I never share I will be the girl && " THE GIRL" will always be me
