Understand

I’ve got tight fabric pants and bright blue shoes

A book in my hand and music playing loudly

I’m the girl no one gets

No one understands

Silly white anchors and delicate white ponies

Boots made of rubber and sleek australian sheep

I’m the girl with lots of shoes

No one understands

Pointless, random facts and homework galore

Science books with folded pages and scribbled-on sticky notes

I’m the girl who’s very smart

No one understands

I’ve got black and grey polka-dot exercise pants and mint green shoes

I hardly eat at all, and I obsess over silly things

I’m the girl no one gets

But I don't want anyone to understand
