Understanding and Working Through

Poetry.

Such a simple thing.

A combination of 

words on a page.

But its more than that.

It is a means of 

expression and 

understanding.

When I read poetry,

I am opened up to 

new emotions and

new ideas.

And when I write poetry,

I open up to myself.

I let out what I keep 

hidden within.

Poetry gives me an

better understanding 

of the world and

of myself.

And I know I will

never be a great poet

but I don't need to 

be a great poet.

The fact that I can

write and read and

speak poetry

is already enough.
