Underwater

Wed, 07/11/2018 - 22:48 -- Sherano

Underwater.

The waves pulled me in,

that's all I could remember.

Not the joys that came before the typhoon swept me off my feet,

and somehow at the same time,

brought my world down as well.

So here I forever will stay,

as if the ocean was still upon my chest,

screaming at the sea,

for it is the one to blame.

Eyes shut tight,

all air escapes my lungs,

as I breathe in once more.

I open my eyes slowly,

and only see my reflection.

I'm sorry.
