Underwater

Five days, near your island Your breath it comes in waves, underwater. Ashore, five ways The soft transparent winds crave You. Your touch, your veins And the unprecedented ways You feel Cold, but shift your gaze to the crystallized wave Then shift your eyes to the glow in the sky And you wait. You clutch your pearls until your knuckles turn white But your feet sway and glide your path to my hollowed grave. Unknown, the tide lifts and carries you as the waves rise you float into the blue light sky. Five days, near your island desolate and trapped in its place and now, staring off into the glaze I wait.
