Undone

There’s this story

An urban legend of sorts

About a goddess and her daughter

Her daughter loved nature

The budding roses and falling leaves

Sprouting plants

The goddess in charge of the beautiful weather

One day the daughter was stolen

Prompting the goddess

To plunge into grief

Once beautiful spring

Rotted away

Turned to icy winter

This story is of the seasons

But I see it as a warning

Those you love can disappear

Taking your heart and soul

With them

Be careful of who you love

Don’t overly care

Because it may lead

To your very undoing.
