Undone

Flay the skin away

Piece by piece

Layer after layer

What am I now?

Am I

The words tumbling out of my mouth

The thoughts rolling in my head

The despair deep in my heart

Or just bones?

Am I

The wind whipping through my hair

The grass beneath my feet

The salty tears that unite me with the ocean

Or just bones?
