Unexpected
I wasn't expecting to meet you;
To meet your gaze,
To learn your laugh,
To earn your smile.
You didn't say much at the time, out of fear I hadn't known.
But slowly you trusted me, and with that I was thrown.
With time we learned, learned to love, learned to hide.
Eventually, by chance, we put fear aside.
I learned of your father, or lack thereof.
I shed light upon somone I used to love.
We shed tears, share moments, and hope for more.
Thank you for everyhing, a day with you is never a bore.
