Unexpected

My temperature was set,
no other warmth can reach it yet,
two feet in the water,
never even got my knees wet,
Sun bright, not a cloud in sight,
perfect breeze everything was right,
crashing waves, but not a single fight
lost in the horizon, always looking ahead,
heartwarming colors emitting from my bed,
quickly turning black from words left unsaid,
lost in my own environment, this moment I dread,
refuse to accept, reality I fled,
but night has finally fallen, and the sunlight is dead.
hopefully we can survive the night,
and put on one more fight
come on love, I really don’t bite

TheUnheardStories

My poetry is not just words on paper (or pixels in this case); they are experiences and memories that have molded me into the person I am today. I hope you enjoy them.
