An Unexpected Angel

Location

My mind wonders,
My thoughts are twisted,
These ideas in my head
Are strung together
With memories and emotions
I'm unable to comprehend.
Lying in bed looking down to you,
I think to myself, How in the hell,
I crossed paths with someone like you.
One day with your smile is worth,
A century of torment and pain.
The light in your eyes,
Lifts the blinds of darkness,
I've come to call home.
I sit back looking at you,
Constantly reminded, that,
In this world, there are people like you.
