Unexpected passing

Running to inner land

As the waves stand tall

Roaring near the sand

The screams of innocents,

Sounds as though it's a whisper

Stumbling and reaching for safety

                 ---------------

Soon the darkness passes for peace to flow in

Yet no cheers of joy are sung

Just the relief covered with stinging sorrow

Life has just unexpectly left the room

Taking loved ones with it

It's time for humanity to step in

To nurture the land once more

And to mourn the souls that will sore

For this unexpected passing of souls
