The Unfair Rain

“THE UNFAIR RAIN”

as the plants danced in the rain
water flowed along the narrow lane
adam stopped by the house
staying away from the power house

 he rang the bell and
then checked his wet cell
a teenage girl opened the door
 admiring the beautiful floor
 he asked for shelter
 seeing the glint of halter

the girl exclaimed yes
adoring the handsome guy
adam was stressed
regretting what he said was a lie

his house was by the lane
he liked the girl
but never wished to go there I rain
that’s why bought  ring of pearl

they entered the living room
where the maid carried a bushy broom
they sat on the pink cushion
which challenged their imagination

they talked until the rain was over
listening to the song”closer”
none of them expressed their feelings
but they found each other appealing
