Unfamiliar
I walk inside the unfamiliar academy,
In an unfamiliar city,
There’s a new kid here that the students see,
I smile, I wave, but they turn and say nothing
I’m nervous, sure,
Also new and insecure,
But I’m willing to begin this new overture,
Of my life in this brand new world
And oh, the overture it was!
I found some friends, and more found us,
And we have a blast, we share our hurrahs,
We’ll stick together regardless, up until the very end
And then we’ll walk together, hand in hand,
When our time at the academy is at an end,
We’ll get our diplomas, and it will be grand,
But then we’ll all look back and see how far we came
We’ll see how young we used to be,
We’ll see that our past insecurity,
Is now in the past,
Because we grew up together,
We stuck by each other,
We grew to be stronger,
And that strength makes us glow brighter
