The Unfillable Hole

Darkness seems inevitable to all of us

It falls every night

Creeping in slowly, bringing on a tired state.

So we close our eyes

For there is nothing to see in the darkness.

We will ourselves to sleep, to prepare for another day.

With depression, once the darkness creeps in it stays

The following day drags on into another

The sun is blinding and filled with unchievable emotions

You laugh, you smile, you joke around

None of it is natural, none of it is genuine, none of it is real

You begin to long for the night time

For the sun, the happiness of the day, to disappear

For the land to be covered in a blanket of darkness and dispair

But sadness is not the answer, not the cure.

The fake laughter or smiles won't change anything.

Like many say, once you fall under the wave of depression

It is near impossible to escape it.

And you get low. You get lower than low.

You will get to the point of not wanting to wake up

There is no desire to see the sun, no desire to see those who love you.

That blanket of sadness is suffocating.

But it only takes one huge act of love to rip it off.

To inspire, to give one the desire to live!

Make them long for the sun, to continue to thrive after it sets.

To break free from the heavy sadness that surrounds them.

Inspire them to be happy with life, no matter the pain or sorrow.

That is the cure, and the only cure.
