Unfiltered
I've always been funny, clumsey
Sensitive and smart those four
words have defined me from the start
Love and compassion soon worked their
way in but that was when I was a kid
Soon my teenage days came around
and everything began to spiral down
My funniness became stern, my
clumsiness became a bad habit
My sensitivity became a joke and
My smartness became my weakness
So I turned to something that I thought
would help, it embraced me like I was its own
Little did I know I had just sold my soul
The filter erased my insecurities
I hid behind it for a while
And piece by piece I became that filter
Finally I said enough was enough
Teenage years were tough but the
filter was rough so away with it
and everyone else
Wirhout the filter I'm free to be me
Funny, clumsey, sensitive and smart
and I can't forget love and compassion
Which will always work their way into my heart
This is me Unfiltered
