Unflitered

Perfect, Prim, Proper

Hair gleaming, clothes ironed, shoes shined

The angle, the lights, the background

Captioned, posted, shared

Filtered

But that's not me

I'm the bleached t-shirt

Mismatched socks and scuffed shoes

A frizzy poneytail

Bent over a book

I'm that smal fraction of my age group

Avoiding social media like it's the plague

"Where's your Instagram?"

Well I don't have one.

I live here, in the moment

Leave nothing behind

My photographs are honest

Unchanged

Untouched

Unfiltered
