Unforgetable Love

What matters to me, should matter to you. Being able to love someone is the best gift that can ever be given. Life is all about loving someone or something other than yourself. My love was towards my dog, Leah. The best friend that nobody could ever ask for. Leah had so much joy that each day she brightened the sky. On cloudy days, she would be the ray of sunlight that would shine through the cracks. My days were always filled with happiness and life. On days that were not so bright, she was there to comfort me and bring a smile to my face. Oh, how the days turned into years with just a blink of an eye. She grew older but never stopped smiling. Her age started to show but her face always stayed young. A light in the darkness. My friend for life or so I thought. Her life took a turn for the worse but it never dulled her internal light. Love in her eyes grew more as her time with me grew from years to days to minutes. And when she took her last dying breath I saw loving shining through her eyes, the brightest light that touched my soul and heart. Forever on, a light shines bright within my heart because loving Leah was a miracle that I will always cherish. gigibbbleble
