An Unforgotten Mystery

Dear Mystery,

I never knew more than

Your face, and even with

That I could never understand

What had happened?

You were loved, adored.

Not by me, but by those

Who knew more than

That smile on your face.

More courageous than

I could ever have been,

You, my mystery, did

The most questionable act.

How you killed yourself,

I do not know. Why you killed

Yourself is an even bigger mystery.

Why did you always smile

If you were in pain?

Is it because you

Weren’t strong enough to

Face your challenges,

Or is it simply my

Own misunderstanding of you.

Either way, I guess there is

Only one thing to say,

The first thing I will

Say to you. Goodbye.

I may not have known

You that well in life, but

From the amount of people that

Cried for you I can tell you were

Good. However, there is

Stille one thing that you,

Mystery, could tell me.

There is a question still

Unanswered that is the

Most vital to me, however.

And that question is one

I can never ask you, my mystery.

What is your name?

But, please, do not answer

That question, do not let

Me lose that one mystery

In my life. That emotion

You make me feel, a balance

Between sadness, fear, and bliss,

I don’t a name to put to it

Because at that point,

It will be real.
