Unfortunate Soul

Korintia Contreras

Fairytale used “The little mermaid”

Unfortunate Soul

In the depths of the waters, love reigned

magical powers came and separate

family to title and bitter heartache

the love of a father

poseidon, god of the waters

trident’s not mine

presenting gifts which switched

the future of the unfortunate soul

seashell against a trident

a sister against its brother

fighting for the love of a father

change my fate you did

change my fate for worse

changed my fate I shall for better or even worse

It didn’t had to be this way

father who said a queen couldn’t reign

why should I be damned as witched

while your favorite is placed

I have shown you my strength against all odds

I have shown you my determination

I dethroned your favorite

demonstrated what true power is

see me for who I am and what I came to be

the true ruler, the queen of Atlantis
