Ungrateful?
I lurk the shadows never being noticed.
Family looks at me but they see "ungrateful" 17 year old me.
I'm not like that, don't you dare label me!
I been abused, torn apart and heart broken. I thank God everyday he blesses me with the light he bestowed upon me! Ungrateful?
No that's me. I appreciate all the little things that no one else seems to see.
While the world keeps spinning and lives keep racing to the very end... did anyone stop to see the beautiful stars flying above our heads? or did you just waste it by playing life's stupid game?
Be born, grow up, school... college? or work?
Tough choices i, myself won't get the chance to choose. Life has a funny way of throwing you curve balls...
College is a beautiful place to grow though my pockets are far to empty to pay the bill. Family says i'm too "ungrateful" to go, so the bill won't go to them...
Work seems to easy and i don't want to be stuck in a dead end job for the rest of my life.
I want to be free. to get out of of this small town but where... where to run or where can i hide? i want to live! to free myself of this cage my family wants to lock me in, Stop!
Please set me free... I'm not "ungrateful", i just want to see the world... no please don't label me, you haven't given me the chance to know me... stop... don't you see... I'm a girl trying to find a way out so please stop labeling me.
