Ungrateful for being human
Cup your ears from the noise,
Hold in the tears that build that don't make sense,
Yearn for a light that was never there.
Wish to be an ant, with no thoughts beyond the colony,
Crave to be a bee, with no insight that's beyond the hive.
Only then would you have realised your mistake.

Your Poem's Voice
Blends personal suffering with abstract philosophical escape desires.
Multiple layered ideas compressed densely across few lines.
Pervasively melancholic with longing, despair, and regret throughout.
Urgent imperatives and yearning create moderate kinetic intensity.
Single extended sentence spanning 6 lines, micro length.
Similes with ant/bee, metaphorical desires, personified emotions.
Pure introspective lyric voice, internal emotional meditation.
