Unhealthy is Healthy

Often we look for bonds of affection,

compassion, understanding, and protection.

But when looking for that perfect love

we should be looking for more of a crow than a dove.

For things that are truley beautiful

dont always start off so sweet and cool.

When asked why do I love hard things,

such as arguing, yelling, or fighting.

I responding with an answer that is new to me,

"because sometimes unhealthy is healthy"

What if you and your loved one never fought,

were always in harmony and never distraught?

What if you never raised your voice

to yell at one another with an angry noise?

What if you always agreed on life,

never truley understanding strife?

Now you might say to yourself, " that would be ideal

to only have a positive feel!"

But I ask you again at this time;

does Hate and Love really rhyme?

Can you truley reach harmony without knowing first how I feel?

Even when my opinion, to you, seems unreal?

How can you really enjoy hushed tones and soft sounds

When the laughter of our kids is sometimes too loud?

Will you honestly appreciate my every hug

if im always around to cuddle and snug?

So upon the surface my answer might seem odd,

that im glad lifes not perfect like a computer mod.

But without first loving the negative side,

you will never really see the positive things I hide.

this is why every chance should be a learning one

like going through labor to meet our first born son.

so in order for our love to be truley happy

we need to realize, unhealthy is healthy
