Unimaginable Pain

All alone and in the dark,

You're the one who stole my spark.

I lay naked on your bed,

Forced to be there, though I pled.

I wanted you to let me go,

But there I lay, bruised in the snow.

The pain you caused me on that night,

Will never, ever, be alright.

You walked away with freedom and pride,

But I'm the one who knows you lied.

You’re the one with the small voice now,

But mine is stronger, this I vow.

I have learned a lot from you,

Now I have a new point of view.

I’m with those who felt the same,

Those of whom I cannot name.

There are so many who have been hurt,

By an unwelcomed hand, up their skirt.

We stand together, tall and strong,

Because we know that you were wrong.

You’re the one with the small voice now,

But mine is stronger, this I vow.

I’m more empowered than ever before,

You can’t hurt me anymore.

What you did to me on that night,

Helped me reach a whole new height.
