Proverbs 13:19 New English Translation (NET Bible)

¹⁹ A desire fulfilled will be sweet to the soul,
but fools abhor turning away from evil.

Control

Defiled I am through sin and through issues of the soul.

Emotions and affections need to be under God’s control.

Affections not inspired by God’s Will must quickly fold

otherwise all turn in the lust of the flesh and becomes its only goal.

He who has not died to worldly affection

Has not died to anything and that is clearly shown.

Yes, the world around us is a spiritual reflection

If one doesn’t die to the natural than the decaying state goes on.

Before our redemption, our desires intertwined with sin

In an emotional state, we are mostly controlled by desire.

But now as being Christians if our desires rule our lives

carnality within flourishes and not purification by fire.
