United

united as one

we turn to fight

united together

we die to spite

evil triumphs

and good bows low

darkness gleans

as light grows dim

help does not arrive

there is no second march

the enemy does cheer

as the end grows near

but we rally our cry

and we show no ghost

for in the midst of battle

can our souls do boast

to know now the cost

of such hateful pride

for it is too much

for our deadened hearts to decide
