United We Stand

As the smoke danced around the muzzle of my thoughts

My eyes were opened to behold the dismay before me

And as the souls ran, yet all for not

I quivered in fear at the thought of their eternity

Cognitions fired from synapse to synapse

My legs gave out beneath me

And as the structures began their fiery collapse

I joined with those who were weeping

"The center of trade is falling!"

And the skyline forever stained

Many asnwered the calling

While others cried His name

The enemy prowls outside the door

We stand united until the grave

Vigilantly remained forever more

The land of the free, home of the brave.
