Unity

We preach of inequality,

We speak on the racial injustice.

But where is the protection in our own community,

When do we stop the crimes inflicted by our own

To our own,

Causing destruction instead of building with positivity.

How can we stand for others,

When we let other injustices sustain.

Is peace not the objective for all,

Are we not meant to love all

Even with their flaws.

Just as God shows that same love to us,

Look at how violence only breeds more violence.

With the end only resolution in conflict and chaos,

Will we act primitively?

Or will we seek justice peacefully,

Because vengeance destroys more lives than one.

And rage does nothing but delude.

The image that should be displayed,

While hate only renders the senses that blinds the mind.

Bringing out the darkness desires of our very being,

Liberate all those who feel subjugated,

Trapped by those who feel privileged.

Allow our children to see how every life matters,

Let's set an example of what will not be tolerated.

From any and all who feel superior to their brethren,

Take a stand to unify all life.

Walk hand and hand in motivation to uplift one another,

Black, Brown, Yellow, Whit

Demonstrate with a kind heart what love really means.

Bring forth the dream of a freedom fighter,

Let there only be only two colors we allow our vision to see.

The blood that we share,

And the clear tears that we shed.

Broaden your gaze and see we struggle as a whole,

One people, one nation, striving for liberation and justice.

So let's not be torn down,

Divided by the memories of yester-year.

But instead build a better future for what's to come,

One that unites us all under the same declaration.

Freeing us from the dangers of of a cruel society,

Granting us the peace ostensibly needed.
