A Unity Unmet

The clouds whisper their wispy beautiful songs
Underneath, the jeweled magpies flutter and
The sun casts it's glorious buttered warmth

Two eyes and a soul
locked into a shiny screen

The fluid dancing of jeweled leaves
The impossible feast of wildflowes
And above the busy bees sing hum their daily song

Two eyes and a soul
locked into a shiny screen

The crystal depth of the sea beckons
The warm honeyed fragrance of the field invites
The coaxing chirp from the magpies implores

Yet, just the same
Two eyes and a soul
locked into a shiny screen

And the sun relinquishes its open embrace
The magpie flutters back to its nest
The leaves wither into the dust
and the unity is never met.
