The universal craving
So good it creates goosebumps on your arms and butterflies in your stomach.
Opening the jelly jar because you're not strong enough to.
Dancing in the kitchen because you got distracted from cooking dinner.
Losing track of time, all the time.
Laying in the backseat of the car talking til 3:17am about their dreams.
No words, just comfort when you are hurting.
Piggy back rides so your shoes don't get dirty.
A bite of food because theirs looked better.
Duet sessions to the radio in the car.
Listening to their heartbeat in a hug.
Reassurance that they won't leave you, ever.
There was no name or gender, and yet there was a specific someone on your mind.
