Unknown

Just like every other day.

You get up and wonder what you are doing here.

Why are you here? How did you get here?

It’s the unknown...

Drowning from the bottom up

From the work you need to do.

You get it done

And you need a brake from what you've been through.

Then, just like that you are back.

Back from where you started,

That ever-changing circle of work.

What causes that?

It’s the unknown.

What will become of my future?

Will I ever have children?

Will I ever go to college?

If so where will I go?

Where will my journey end?

Where did it begin?

It’s the unknown.

Your whole life revolving around uncertainties

The changing paths of road in front

One wrong turn could lead to the end

Will it be the end?

Which path should be taken?

Which one is the better option?

Why is my GPS dead?

It’s the unknown.

You can only do what you can do.

Choosing without a clue

What will I do?

It’s the unknown.

The time is ticking.

When will it run out?

When did it start?

When will I reach my final destination?

Am I even going the right direction?

It’s the unknown.

For now the unknown will not last for long.

I am on my way.

I come up on an intersection,

Which way should I go?

Left looks long.

Right looks dead.

I go straight.

Where am I headed?

Did I choose right?

I will soon know.

It still is unknown.

For the unknown never lasts forever.

The empty road lie ahead

I come up on a stop sign.

This is not and intersection!

I cautiously move ahead.

What lies up here?

It is the unknown.

One mile, then another and

Then I see the light.

I am not in a tunnel!

Then I quickly take a right.

I drive off the road and

Then my journey is over.

What lied ahead was unavoidable.

It was uncontrollable.

I ended my journey too early.

Why did it go so fast?

It will now be known.

The seven minutes that followed

Included everything that happened

Then the seven minutes are up and

The lights slowly fade.

Will I know now?

Any second I will see,

But this journey is mine and

Mine, only for me to see.

I have to leave you now,

But don’t feat.

For now you journey continues

And mine left alone in the unknown.
