The Unknown
Hesitating into an unknown world
My chest is drumming to the beat of my footsteps
What humans fear is the unknown
My fear crawl under my skin, taking control over my veins
The insidious smile it has when my body freezes
The sweet past seducing me into its arms
A bitter taste emerges from the back of my throat, its vile
It begins, my battle
My fingers dig themselves into the pocket of my throat
Drilling to conquer the pest dwelling inside me
The pain urges me to stop
Plucking out the invader, it disappears weeping
Liberated from my chain
I walk into an unknown world
