Unknown Warrior
There is a fierce fight in his eyes,
Speaks only the truth and will tell no lies,
Able to accomplish anything if he tries,
But what people cannot see is that his body cries,
In my mind there is a story to be told,
On a day that i was seventeen years old,
When the world that I know turned so cold,
The day that the true meaning of life really showed,
Waiting for a call but they showed up instead,
i thought they'd be happy but their eyes were red,
Given news that i would forever dread,
my heart instantly broke when i found out that my brother was dead,
How? Why? they were all asked before they could start,
All they knew was his life was falling apart,
As the tears rolled down they formed some sort of sad art,
On June 16th, he shot himself in the heart,
The last time we were together we were raising our mugs,
He told me that we both lived a life with drugs,
Hanging out with the wrong crowd, the thugs,
He even said he saw bodies in rugs,
He also said that i should change my ways,
Live life and not waste any more days,
Because in the end a good education pays,
Keep your head in the books and don't forget to pray,
He told me that life is no game,
I thought to myself my life is a shame,
How did the sunshine turn to rain,
That I had no one else to blame,
Since the news months have gone by,
But I still cant forget no matter how hard I try,
When I hear his name I just start to cry,
But I took his advice and for a year ive been dry,
Found a girl and no doubt I adore her,
My life wasn't easy it almost felt like torture,
Graduated High school, time to start a new quarter,
With my brother in my heart im known as the Unknown Warrior
