Unleash

Wed, 10/19/2016 - 15:29 -- awieseh

Stress is a monster that consumes us,

Breaking us down from the inside out,

Acting like a pimple and its puss,

Swelling with insecurity and self doubt.

But everyone has a release,

One that can be rid of this beast,

Some get it from a devilish high,

But I get it from a laborious lullabye.

Something that pushes me beyond expectations,

Something that gives me strong foundations,

Something that teaches me what it’s like to work,

Something that acts as its own perk.

Weightlifting isn’t just for jocks,

It’s how my pressure and stress decrease,

Although it may seem a little unorthodox,

This is my release.
