Unlocked
I miss you through every night,
through every storm,
I lay awake grasping onto the feeling of you holding me.
The joy you brought to my life was a river flowing straight through my heart,
fueled by the ocean of love you provided.
Even as simple as the memories of your embrace are enough to light the candles of time,
sending me on a lit path back to my favorite memory I call home.
Back to My Love.
My Love.
I can almost feel your touch on my soul just by closing my eyes,
remembering the way you smelled,
the way you felt.
More than my mind has grieved you.
My body shakes with anticipation at the memory of your overconsuming presence.
No amount of attention from anyone else could ever fill a glass compared to the overflowing spring of longing I feel for your warmth to collide with mine once more.
For your skin to graze mine,
embedding me with your intent to cherish.
For your breath on my neck as we sleep.
For your lips on mine.
For our hands to converse in a language only they understand.
Oh, My Love.
Even now,
you breathe life into my lungs just by imagining the sound of your name.
Let me come home once again,
Let me come home just one more time.
Won't you leave the door unlocked for me?
I'll be waiting <3
