Unmasked

Vibrations from breaking strings
That of vocal chords screaming
Hate ringing through her ears
Volitale expressions of her
worthlessness
If only they knew the way
that she sees herself
Back against the floor
Eyes directed Nowhere
Head down, spirit crushed
The feeling of victimization
is an illusion
For she is no victim
Misunderstood, maybe
But no, not a victim
Plummet and fall off the
spinning ride of unexpected
emotions coming from any
and everywhere, buy she
does this to herself, all of it
The hate and obsession
The screaming and crying
No, she is not crazy,
because crazy would
give her an excuse,
one that she does not
deserve because it is
one that does not exist
Caught up in her own
insanity tears begin to
form and spill out from
deep within her crumpled
face but almost as if a
psychopath had consumed
her the emotion that took
control over her body
came to a sudden halt
Epiphany, what had been
said about mental illness
what she had heard repeated
reiterated and re-explained
to her over and over again
is a lie because she knows
the truth, lives the truth, she
is the truth. That one broken
piece has caused the entire
system to fail, that compelling
force that drives her to madness
has made her exit reality and
enter a world where fear and
horrid experiences are a
coveted way to live life
The meaning behind day
in and day out, a deeper
feeling that goes beyond,
far beyond sitting, standing,
and being. Forget logic,
Forget sanity, in her mind
tragedy is perfection and
is it not human nature to
be drawn to it. Has that
not always been the way
in which we live, drawn
to what is interesting,
even if it  happens to
be torment and sorrow?
I live life inside the
shadows where what
is dark is also serial
captivating and
addictive.
