Unmitigated
To those of You who silence me
Allow Me to speak My mind.
I’ll share with You
The mounds of things
I’ve learned to keep inside.
You’ll see Me as I wish to be,
A million colors wide,
A being of complexity
No longer will I hide.
My face may show You nothing
No solace and no gloom,
But beware
The boiling flare
Of an anger that may fume.
My thoughts have stripped Me bare,
Left Me raw and underwhelmed
I’ll show You all the crevices
Where banished feelings dwell.
Rotting flesh and peeling skin,
A solemn place within My lungs,
Is where feelings mold and fester
Until the thoughts are done.
Crawling along the smoothness
Of a body soft and pure
Are the thousand legs
And twisted heads
Of a pain I must endure.
Connections fumbling feebly,
Moldering and decayed,
When they’re nothing like they seem to be
With logic they will fray.
But mind You not
The fears on top,
Bubbling and gray.
I’ve put them aside,
Layered under My pride,
Saved for a rainy day.
I have no worries
No problems or qualms
Only a single cave,
Where feelings once confined
Now come out unbehaved.
Watch them as they flurry,
Bursting from inside.
They’ll devour You in a hurry,
With an anger large in size.
