Unpacking
It hurts.
That's the short of it.
The long of it
Drags out for days,
Twisting around me
In a death grip;
Wishing I'd left it
Or cleft it
From me.
But how do you cleave
Alone?
How do you pull together
By yourself?
A person is people:
A social animal
Whose humanity
Arises from community;
A union of disunity,
Separated by identity;
Ascribed inhumanity,
A red letter
Red Letters
Never uttered.
Jesus, why?
