From Unprivileged women of villages for privileged women of cities
You live in modern cities, under great architects, enjoying almost every luxury of life.
We, however, live under the burning sun, in medieval prisons, awarded by our ancestors.
You purchase food from famous food chains, while we first collect sticks, then fire it and cook some food to feed our babies, not to mention ourselves.
You select new branded glasses to escape sunlight, but we wipe tears from our eyes with arms erupting because of poisonous sticks of wood.
You buy new clothes almost every month, while we rely on old, forked clothes.
You choose branded watches for your silky wrists, while we are still bound under the chains of bangles.
You use imported perfumes from Paris, but we have not still smelled the air of freedom.
You read the stories of African slaves, but our lives are still jerked under slavery.
You have the right to demonstrate on roads, but we are being killed for choosing our soulmate.
You arrange meetings before marrying a man, while we still see ours after marriage.
You are appreciated by human rights organizations if you seek divorce, while we are being killed if we raise a word.
You enjoy foreign tours on every vacation, but we have never seen the color of our walls outside.
You enjoy visiting man-made miracles like the Great Wall of China and Pyramids, while our life is bounded under those walls, and our history is deceased under those pyramids.
You study in well-established educational institutions, while we are still seeking our names.
You are appreciated by your parents for presenting new and creative ideas, while we are still wondering around the religious boundaries.
You celebrate birthdays, marriage, inauguration, and commencement ceremonies on beautiful locations, while we still just listen to bullet sounds on our friends' marriages.
You are awarded with different prestigious awards, while we are still presented with clay pots.
You have found new planets, while our life starts from one wall and ends on the other.
You are still fighting for the freedom of expression, while we are still grappling with the un-listened question: Why are we so different in the same boundaries?
