Unraveled

You, Me, and Poetry?

How did we become an item so perfectly...

The words unraveled into a rhyme like lace

The things I could not verbally speak...

You, Poetry, took its place

I let the pen leak on the paper to tell the inner me

The things I try to swallow, demolish,

that became so absentee

You, Me, and Poetry?

We are like a bear and honey

A striking match

Stinging like a flower and a bee
