An UnReasonable Promise

How long will you wait for me?

"An Eternity" they say.

I don't think you know

what that literally means

in any literal way.

You think you can wait forever,

Wait?

Is forever even the same?

For forever continues eternally,

and eternity continues the frame.

I might be stepping out of line

when I say your words are cheap,

but don't go tossing cupids sign

If your not willing to take the leap.

Stop spewing empty promises,

those ones no one can keep,

that weigh off those dishonest lips,

and land on pure cheeks

You say you can wait eternity,

lets see if you last a day,

sit down for 24 hours

and don't move until I say,

of course you wouldn't do it,

but that's just what you had said,

It's okay I always knew it

I'll be waiting here instead.
