Unremarked

Unreachable bird, glide alongside the clouds--

observe the passing scenes below

Quiet creek, trickle imperceptibly

reflect the spiritless shadows

Little flower, blossom delicately

behold the hurried, listless puppet

Silent breeze, cool the warm day

notice the blank, glazed expressions

Tiny pebble, kicked aside unremarked

study the trance-captive

Paper scraps, carelessly dropped

consider the neglect

Peaceful landscape, passed by and dismissed

watch the callous demeanor

Plain sidewalk, unmoved by time

note the mindless contradiction of those treading above

Immortal air, quickly used and disposed

feel the cold shoulder of indifference

Innocent child, full of wonder and awe--

know that ignorance can be bliss,

At the cost of much missed.
