Unrequited

Slowly giving your heart to another Sweet words Late nights Long talks until you hear the birds Now after those 3 words get uttered the connection is beginning to fade Is this love a fair trade? The love that seemed to be growing is now dead Things change Once feelings become involved It seems kind of strange How can one day everything be so right... And the next everything be so wrong? Unrequited love Unrequited words Unrequited feelings Why must the heart do the mind's dealings Leaving the door open to whoever is invited So eager to love, Unprepared to fall so hard ...Unrequited
