Unrequited Love

Unrequited love, they say Is the most heart breaking Never did I believe that Until it struck me Everything about him Was magical - His eyes, his smile, his soul print Every glance we shared Felt like a gaze of longing a fire waiting to unfold Perhaps at least to me That’s what it whispered. Time tore the veil I wrapped around his name Time dragged me from the lie I called love Nothing shifted between us But something changed Or maybe it always was the same I never realized…did I? I kept loving him in chapters, even when he closed the book.
