Unrequited Love
I was sitting outside Cracker Barrel one night waiting on my ETC teacher to meet me there for orientation. As I was sitting there an employee stopped to have small tall. We introduced ourselves and she asked me what position I was working. When I answered retail she became elated. She gave me a hug and said "I love you !" We both laughed it off because she was really joking , right ? I've never been the one to just throw the word "love" around at any given time. To me , love is intense. Love should be taken seriously because love can be dangerous. Her words stuck with me throughout the night. I had to decipher what love really was. Love is friendly. Love is kind. Love is pure. Love is beautiful. Love is ... Love. God intended for us , as people , to feel love. We can't deny it and we can't run away from it. It's always there ! Love is holding the door for an elderly , making someone laugh , giving a child a piece of candy. So, what is "unrequited" love ? There is no in between of love. You either hate someone , or you love them. And how could I ever hate that lady ? She was friendly. She was kind. She was there , loving me. ☺
