Unrequited Love

Dear Abigail,

You have been my best friend for several years,

but nothing can soothe unrequited love.

When I came out to all the people important to me,

things still did not happen the way I wanted.

Then i expressed how I felt,

it was like my heart broke in two.

You said things that I didn't want to hear,

and I just didn't want to listen.

I said I needed a break to think,

but that was the last thing you wanted.

It's been several weeks,

and we just keep growing apart.

Your's Truly,

Rebekah
