Unrequited Love (Sonnet poem)

The idea of loving you is faint-

No inching forward; friends, and nothing more.

There is so much more I wish I could paint,

but it is you, that I am waiting for.

Love song on the C.D, you on my mind.

I display the song, despite all the fears.

You think of someone else is what I find.

It’s just like singing a song to deaf ears.

We arrive at our destination, late.

Go out to eat, and it’s hard not to think

that this wasn't just chilling, but a date.

This friendship is really starting to stink

My actions said I love you like a pearl,

though you turn away to look at the girl.
