Unspoken Words

I think about you everyday

There isn’t a day I don’t

I think your smile

The way you used to look at me

I think about how you would spaz out

Just so you could hear me do a dumb little laugh

But I only did it because you loved it

I remember how you would always make sure I was okay

And when you knew I wasn’t you made me tell you I wasn’t

But you never made me tell you why

Because you knew first hand that it’s not easy to express those things

You knew I can’t express those things

But you were still there if I ever needed you

Even if you didn’t know why I did

I remember the day we met

We didn’t talk

We were strangers in a sea of people

Much like we are now

But we were put together for some assignment

I made you do something totally outrageous

But once that thing came out of my mouth

 We couldn’t stop laughing

We laughed for what felt like hours

Even though it was only for a few minutes

That’s when I first started to think about you

Who would’ve known I would never stop

But I remember other things too

When I leaned on you

When we sat together everyday

When you said you never would never forget about me

You promised you wouldn’t leave

But here we are now

And I wish I could tell you

Tell you how I feel right now

How I feel like my world is missing something

How I don’t feel complete

No one can feel complete after going through that

After losing someone close

After losing someone who is still alive

But I could never tell you

Because my mouth won’t open

Or my brain tells me not too

But it’s for the best

It’s best to keep those words unspoken

It would only make you more of a stranger
